Alcohol is bad for Weight Loss! That is simple right?
Alcohol is full of empty calories (very few nutrients) so it gives you very little besides calories. Also, it is a unique molecular structure and tends to convert directly to Body Fat rather than to blood sugar that will be used for energy, ie the beer belly! Finally, alcohol dehydrates you. Not too bad once in a blue moon but your body works very hard to fill those muscles with water and nutrients and when you drink alcohol your body strips out that water and the nutrients with it, making it extremely hard to recover properly for exercise.
Track your drinking habits for a week, and add up all of the drinks. Plan to cut that number in half. Not only will you ingest fewer calories, making weight loss easier, you will leave more nutrients in place making it easier to recover from exercise, and THAT is where results are found.
